Ran a roll of 35mm through my Yashica Mat.
I only have 36 exposure films so the first thing I did was to set my camera to take 220 film as it then allows 24 shots instead of 12.
I then wrapped some tape around one end of the take-up spool to make it thicker - this fools the camera into winding on less between shots so you waste less film.
I then jammed the 35mm cartridge in place with some folded strips of cardboard as that was all I had to hand.
It worked reasonably well - you waste a load of film at the start and the gaps get longer as you wind the film.
I managed 14 shots on the roll before the winder stopped turning.
I don't think I'll do it again - next time I'll try the backing paper trick in my Agfa Isola.
