Acorn squash (before and after) and spaghetti squash~
Recipe for Acorn Squash, microwaved:
2 acorn squash
4 teaspoons butter
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
AllSpice, sprinkled ( which includes cloves, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg)
Cut squash in half and remove seeds.
Place all four in a microwave safe round bowl
Fill each half with 1 teaspoon butter, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice
Sprinkle entire cup with the ground AllSpice.
Cover with wax paper
Microwave on high for 10 minutes.
Place a small dab of butter on top of each before serving.
Baked Acorn Squash
Heat oven at 350 degrees.
Place cut side down in oven proof bowl and bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes.
Turn over and add these ingredients along with trace salt in each cup.
Bake for 20 minutes longer.
