Project 366 2008 - January 28, 2008 Reuben Sandwich for lunch today ~

Brewed some "Butterscotch-Toffee Vanilla" Don Francisco Gourmet Coffee ~

 

Reuben Recipe:

 

2 slices Pumpernickle Rye bread

butter, just enough to lightly cover bread

dijon mustard

corned beef, slice

1/3 cup sauerkraut, drained

Swiss cheese, sliced

 

Lightly spread butter across both slices of bread and place one slice face down on small frying pan on medium heat.

Spread a small amount of mustard on the inside of both bread pieces.

Place ham on top of mustard.

Next, add sauerkraut.

Place Swiss cheese on the top and add the other slice of bread so that the butter side is facing outward.

Flip over after 2 minutes or when bread is grilled.

 

Yield: 1 sandwich
