    The haul from yesterday's chilli festival visit.

    Not shown: 1 bag of Death Rain habanero chips, 2nd jar of chilli jam, bean burrito, can of VB, frozen lime maragarita, stubbie of chilli beer, slice of watermelon.

      It was this stuff here.

      It didn't really do it for me. Beer and chilli are my two favourite substances, so you'd think I'd be the perfect market for it. But I think they work better as separate and complementary elements, and mixing them together is a bit like chucking a pie in the blender with some tomato sauce.

      I'd much rather eat something with chilli in it and then wash it down with regular beer. Still, was worth the experiment...

      shame ... chilli wine was good - keep it chilled and use it as a dessert wine ... not very hot (for my tastes) but nice none the less.

      Once my wife got wind of the Chilli Festival, she wanted to go. The day was hot all round.

      Yeah, yesterday was a shocker for heat as well. Wasn't particularly photogenic either - all I got was a couple of shots of venison-related signage.

      Just got that sorry looking deer and a couple of crappy aircraft photos.
      The Chilli products made the drive worth it .

      hmm, we tried chilli wine, thought it was overrated. chilli is good. skin specialist told me to stay away. did for a little bit (okay about a week) then had my fave pasta sauce containing hot salami and loads of chilli. skin broke out a treat but, alas, i'm still eating it. would rather put up with shonky skin than forbid this treat!!!
