Dark-Eyed Junco - Male
Dark-eye Juncos are by far the most common bird in our yard, and yet one that I rarely photograph. Here a male posed on my work-shop roof before venturing to one of the feeders. Most of our Juncos leave in the spring to nest elsewhere, but a few stay year-round. Most Juncos in the west are the Oregon race of Dark-eyed Junco, as here. Will try to get one in a more natural setting.
