Aston Martin V8 Volante
One of Aston Martin's longest produced cars, the Aston Martin V8 was constructed for 20 years between 1969 and 1989, and in that time the company went through some of the toughest times it had ever faced, going bankrupt and being reprieved within a few years.
But even with little money, and the only other product on the market being the controversial Lagonda, the V8 soldiered on through the fiscal storm and made it through until the Virage took over the reigns. Since then the company has built itself slowly back up to being one of the most popular sports car brands in the world, but the V8 remains a symbol of the company during those dark days, and how resilient the company workers were to keep the industry alive.
This particular car is the V8 Volante, a convertible version of the car introduced in 1978 to add a bit of drop-top flair to the original motor.
