Yosemite Valley Sunrise (Explored)
First image out of the camera from coming home. After circling the Valley Floor loop road, we stopped at sunrise to capture this view of Yosemite National Park. I made my way out onto the Merced River and positioned myself into the wide expanse of this marvelous carved out creation. There were several other photographers there that morning but I included one in this image as he went further onto the rocks then I dared. You can see the sunrise hitting El Capitan on the left side of the frame. Think of the FREE SOLO movie for the scope of this granite structure. The Spring colors were starting to flourish in the park. I was hoping to go a few months earlier to catch some Winter images from this location but it didn't quite work out this time around. This is far and away my favorite National Park that I have visited. It's home for me.
