Artisan Bread

No recipe, alas. I did not bake these loaves. Best bread I've ever had. The tops are that thick and charred, yet they don't taste burnt at all. So good, you can pass on the butter, although if you insist, a golden-yellow Irish will gild the lily very nicely. : }
