C is for cookie, that's good enough for me.
Even though I drop a good chunk of my cookie allowance on Starbucks, I'd always been the local café kinda guy. Even when I lived in Seattle, when Starbucks was pretty much a Seattle thing, I (meaning my mum) was a Café Allegro person.
So, the discovery of our favorite little local café––Café KooKoo––was quite a blessing, and Shingo and I are always looking for an excuse to go there for a cup o' latte and some snacks. Yesterday they had some fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, and holy moly, was it good :-)
I do miss the fantastic oatmeal raison cookies that Allegro had. We've had friends send us some recently, but I'm almost positive their recipe has changed; just not the same :-(
