In the shadow of the mountain
Another one taken on my recent trip to Skye in the Scottish Highlands. This was shot in Glenbrittle, a tiny village on the western side of the island. I loved the remoteness of Glenbrittle. It's made up of a handful of houses, situated in the shadow of the Black Cuillins. The peak here is actually (I think!) the edge of the ridge that goes along towards Sgurr Na Banachdich, covered in clouds.
They say that mountain ranges have their own weather systems and I was able to witness this first hand here. Cloud banks seem to linger around these mountains when the rest of the sky was completely clear. A memorable trip to say the least.
Note: I seem to be firmly back in the clutches of the monochrome! I wonder if I "see" better in black and white. I still don't seem to be fully comfortable in colour.
