Macroglossum Stellatarum (Hummingbird Moth) & Zinnia elegans

    Newer Older

This one kept on moving around. Tracking it through the flowers with a bunch of bees flying around me wasn't that much fun (bees sting, as you may already know ;). Eventually I got a few shots worth displaying.

An amazing capture. The view at the large and even the original sizes are fantastic. So sharp and loaded with beautiful color and texture. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your fine work at the larger viewing sizes. So many will not. This is a wonderful photograph. Congratulations.

A wonderful image, Claudiu. Gorgeous colors and contrasts and amazingly sharp. And to have the moth and flower separated and with such great bokeh makes it very special. Thanks for sharing.

Can you tell me where you took this photo of the Hummingbird Moth? I'm trying to find out if they are ever seen in California.

      Thanks
