Homeward bound for the holiday season!
"All around this wide country the winter it has now begun
Now is the time to slip away from the California sun
To a place where a man can be free as the wind
As wild as the huskies' cry
Now winter is nigh let us fly to my log cabin home in the sky..."
- 'Log Cabin Home In The Sky': lyrics by Mike Heron (The Incredible String Band).
"...But you, children of space, you restless in rest, you shall not be trapped nor tamed. Your house shall be not an anchor but a mast...
And though of magnificence and splendour, your house shall not hold your secret nor shelter your longing.
For that which is boundless in you abides in the mansion of the sky, whose door is the morning mist, and whose windows are the songs and the silences of night."
- Kahlil Gibran ('The Prophet').

There are many ways to enjoy the holiday season... I will be here at home in Scotland though part of my heart will be winging across the Atlantic Ocean, following the long-haul jets, to be with family members half a world away :-)
