Greek Dessert -- Mπαμπαδακη ("Babadaki")

(Not sure if the Gk spelling is correct.)

 

A honey-sweetened cake with cream in the middle and some chopped nuts (pistachios) on top. Greek desserts tend to use honey instead of refined sugar for their sweets.

 

I cannot seem to find a description of this dessert in an major (English language) cookbook or food guide to Greek Cuisine, so this makes me wonder if this may only be a dessert specific to Tinos or even a foreign (Turkish?) import.
