Ghost below the Sunset?

This is right by my work and my wife noticed a figure standing there (In the picture, she wasn't with me). Do you see a ghost?

BTW, I loaded this into PS, but after my wife saw this, I reverted the image and uploaded it unaltered. I think I can explain the figure, but I must admit, it's giving me chills.

Go large to see it better

Right where the head would be, it seems more blurred than the area around it? Same with two others I took standing there

I looks to me like the tree branches are just in a misleading position. With the fact that there's a mist from the snow on the ground aswell, I understand that at first it can lead you to think there is a ghost, but to be honest, I just think it's the branches, snow and mist. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big believer in ghosts and paranormal.

Beautiful photo but i would say not spirit. Im big into paranormal research and photographing spirits, but im very picky about what i call a spirit and what i dont, and i dont think you have one. very lovly none the less!

I take it TAPS thought nothing of it?...but yeah, i'm with Liasis up there... just so happens to be the way the branches are, it makes the mind think it's in the shape of a body... not to mention, it's to high in the air to be real. Cool shot though ;]

If you liik at it on the larger scale it looks like a very tallbig brested ghost. I think it's just the light and branches. I too am a believer in ghost & paranormal.

Creepy, even though it may not be a ghost!

It looks like a ghost at first glance, but if you look "past" that, you can see a clearing in the trees in the background.

And trust me, when it comes to ghosts, I am definetly not a sceptic! But it's a great picture. Very pretty.

whatever it may be the picture is AWESOME nonethless. ghost or not *faves*

hmm... looks like steam from melting snow... but it's a possiblilty it's a ghost! i'll need to examine it closer

If it were a human figure it would be gigantic if you pay attention to scale.

It is just a shape made by the random structure of the branches.

When you enlarge the photo, I see a face in the right "elbow" and also another just below that. Also half of a face above the shoulders that is bearded. You can also see on the left arm it looks like a short sleeved shirt upturned on the edge a little.................and yet all of these things are a part of the scenery...........SPOOKY

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called ghosts and orbs, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

The closer I zoom, the less it looks like a ghost. It looks like different distances of objects and land in the background just made it look like this.

"Spirit orbs are most often confused with similar shaped anomalies that occur in nature, such as dust particles, grass, tree, or weed pollen, moisture, ice crystals, snow flakes, rain drops and other weather related anomalies. Since each area of our world produces different anomalies, it is prudent and necessary that a base line be established prior to any investigations. For example, I use a Sony DSC-T70 digital camera (8.1 megapixel) that treats dust particles as a diamond shaped anomaly while Sharon's Kodak Z650 digital camera (6.0 megapixel) will show that same anomaly in a hexagon shape. Learn how your own camera treats dust or pollen. Ghosts are everywhere, but not captured as clusters of orbs found in most photographs submitted to us. Common sense is very important in ghost research. Conduct investigations sampling natural non-spirit anomalies and see how your camera displays these anomalies." -

I'm a believer in the paranormal, but I think what people are doing here is called "matrixing". It's where there is a rational explanation for something, such as a trick of light, but our brains want to see something else there. It's a cool shot though!

it's an optic illusion created by the combination of light and tree branches... there is nothing there but a good picture
