Problem Child

Finally a shot I have been trying to get for a long time turned out good enough to post.

I don't know why it's been so hard to get right, but I think this is well over the fifth try.

The darn baby heads just weren't breaking apart well.

All the dolls are garage sale or thrift store purchases.

The background doll has been through a few shots, she lost her legs on the first try, but for obvious reasons, this really didn't matter.

    It's been a good day

Took a bike ride over Balcom Canyon into Santa Paula. Pretty sweaty weather. I returned the two defective purchases to Fry's. Drank about a half gallon of good cold fizzy water while working in the garage fixing flash units.

Scrubbed down the washer/dryer so that (to my wife's shock) the pair is actually white, not dried apple/red jello colored.

    Amazing.

      Danton,

      You actually find this creepy?

      Well, me too :-)

      Cheers.

I think finding this creepy is a perfectly normal first reaction :-)

      kinetic,

      You got that.

I moved the lighting to get a slight "light from below" effect for Mommy Doll, just to get a little more cheap horror effect.

My wife just has to laugh when she opens the refrigerator only to see a doll face down in a cup, waiting for the gelatin to set.

      Cheers.

Yep. Creepy. Kind of The Exorcist meets Alien.
