DSC01800, “ Samson and Goliath, Belfast, Northern Ireland

BELFAST, Northern Ireland - A pair of huge yellow gantries - for about a century they have been called Samson and Goliath - dominate a portion of the low-rise cityscape of Belfast. The cranes tower over the River Lagan shipyard of Harland & Wolff, reminders that here in 1909, the keel was laid for perhaps the most famous passenger ship ever built.
