Haze Clarified. Lake Taal from the People's Park in the Sky, Tagaytay, Calabarzon, Philippines
Yesterday was one of those days I'd just as soon not have been on a long drive. But how can one resist going to see the Taal Volcano and Lake about 60 kms to the south of Manila!? So there we were, first at Imelda Marcos's 'Palace in the Sky', now restyled - if that's the word for a scraggly place with absolutely stunning views - as 'People's Park in the Sky'. Then we went on to a wonderful restaurant-with-a-view, Josephine's. It too looks down on the volcano in the Lake, to the right in the photo. But the view from the park in the sky is marginally better...
Given my headache I was actually a bit grateful for the haze and the cloudy skies. I was happily surprised by what my camera and a photo programme did with something I'd thought utterly irredeemable.
The gray haze has been clarified into a Fabric quite acceptable (at least to my eyes now that I can see clearly again...).
(PS Hope to be back to flickr tomorrow to comment etc.)
