Tree cricket
Oecanthus nigricornis. I had been hoping for some time to find a singing male of this striking species, and this little guy was very willing! So I learned that this species sings in broad daylight, and they sound quite different from the more familiar snowy tree crickets. More of a continuous trill, rather than the classical "chirp chirp chirp".
