Owens Valley Sunrise, Bishop, CA
For our trip up for the first (and perhaps only, given the snow storms coming) trip for the eastern Sierra fall color change, we found that the wind was almost overwhelming at times, making for very difficult conditions up in the canyons west of Bishop. Not impossible, but frustrating enough to make us think of looking elsewhere in the area for potential shots.
Robin suggested a specific road we hadn't yet ever driven on, and man, am I glad she did. We found some areas RIFE with potential not just for uncommonly good perspective on valley light conditions, but with huge possibilities for winter as well.
We'll be back.
