Abstract macro #1 (1 of 1)
Just in case anyone was wondering, if you don't have a dedicated macro, and want to use one of the innumerable close focus adapters, you end up in a position like me. This is a Raynox DCR-250 mounted on one of the sharpest lenses ever made, the Olympus 75mm 1.8, shot up close and wide open, in a slight breeze.
The effect is far more abstract and indicative of what the shortcomings of the combination are: you're kind of stuck with dream-world imagery until EVERYTHING is completely still, even at speeds approaching 1/8000. Still, I dig the colors, if nothing else. It just reminds me of how much I actually need a true macro lens.
