    Is That a Typo?
  • Scott 8y

Gitwithit: That's no typo. It was Burger Chef's play on words for their Big Mac clone

Was Burger Chef the 1 that later became Arby's?

ctb59: The majority of Burger Chef outlets that were not closed became Hardee's

Thanks - I knew it changed names - & gave the 'big guys' a pretty good run for their money.....?

I don't know maybe it could use alittle more mayo?

that looks like 1/2 a cup
  • Scott 8y

bartenational: Mayo?!? That's no ordinary dressing...that's Special Shef sauce!

What gets me is how they propped the burgers and bun slices up so high that it looks a foot tall...

About Bayswater97's comment: I don't think that Buger Chef's "Big Shef" was a "Big Mac clone." Burger Chef sold Big Shefs right from the beginning of their existence as a chain, and I believe that McDonald's did not add the Big Mac until the early 60's. So, who's cloning whom?
  • tamfun2003 7y

According to WIKIPEDIA (which I know isn't always right) the Big Mac was not invented until 1968. Burger Chef was selling Big Shefs way before then.

Burger Chef was in business in 1954 & McDonalds wasn't in business until 1957
