Be Australian

This guy came from Australia with his sister to ride across the U.S. in 1976. A powerful rider on simple equipment...To this day anytime I'm struggling on a bike ride, I think of him and berate myself with the words "be Australian!". I recall he had a soup can with a wire handle for making tea at campsite.

I've remembered your comment about, Be Austrailian, in a number of situations, cycling and hiking both. It works, just like I use the vocalization of, I love hills, we love them, they're great. Its a mind over a headwind, hill, rainy day kind of thing. Now get out there and be more Aus... Lol. Thanks.
