The burning of the Viking Boat @ Cruden Bay Harbour

The Burning of the Viking Boat @ Cruden Bay Harbour was to commemorate 1,000 years of the Battle of Cruden, in which, King Malcolm 11 of Scotland defeated Prince Canute of Denmark.

The replica Viking boat was designed and built by the harbour master, Derek Thomson using recycled materials.

The boat was burned on August 18th.
