WD-H43 .7x wide angle lens

The Canon HV20 desperately needs a wide angle adaptor. This is Canon's high def adaptor, and man is it big + heavy. Freakin' sweet though!

wow. mine is crappy compared to that and not that widescreen. where do i get one from?? - i want one for mine... thanks for sharing.

hmmm it's 0.7x right? - that's pretty much like the one i have but a lot smaller. only problem with mine is that the insides need a bit of work because you see black rounded corners. which is annoying.

B&H Photo is where I got mine. I used to have one on my old Sony hdv cam that suffered from vignetting and you couldn't zoom out all the way -- this lens is quality and doesn't seem to have any of those issues. Hopefully will be trying it out more tonight atop my new Steadicam Merlin. :-)

What kind of packaging did your conversion lens come in, if you don't mind me asking?

That's sweet... that WA adapter lens always seems to be out of stock.

I just picked up the HV20 today, it's sweet.. but looking to get a mic and the wide angle adapter.

I am looking into that purchase. What do you think about it now?

The wide angle adapter specifically? Still love it, essential for the HV20.

Does it come with some sort of cap to protect the acres of glass? A box to be a nice soft nest for it while not on the camera? I only ask because nothing like that is shown in the B&H (etc) pics...

I have this HV20/30 wide angle adapter here in Mexico and I love it, the only negative comment i have is that when you shoot with the built-in flash you´re lost! A huge round shadow will be there always, either if you have the extra lamp-flash (don't remember the PN) too.
