egg shell delight- venezuela

Some egg shells on the balcony of a Caracas highrise. I stayed at this wonderful woman's house, my godmother's sister. She was a social worker running an environmental camp for kids in the mountains of Avila, close to the coast . I don't know why I thought these eggs were interesting, at first i thought they were there as a superstitious custom..but now it makes sense they are nutrition for the soil. Caracas' highrises are mostly occupied by the middle class, while the poor live in the congested barrios on the mountain sides. Security is high..four keys are usually needed to get into an apartment: one for the lobby, one for the elevator, one for the protective metal fence door and one for the main apartment door.
