Annual Research Conference 2017
The Inver Hills Research Conference is a two-day event each spring for students, faculty, and staff to present their scholarly and creative work.

The spring 2017 conference was held on April 19 and 20 and explored the phenomenon of immigration with a focus on Minnesota. What are our stories of immigration? How have the many immigrant groups to the state shaped its culture, social structure, economy, and politics and how do they continue to do so today? What are the challenges immigrants face in Minnesota and how can we best address them as a welcoming community?

This year's keynote speakers were Ilhan Omar, Minnesota House representative for District 60B, and Susan Brower, the Minnesota State Demographer.
