Spy And Private-Eye Still Cameras
A tiny French spy camera by the famous Lumiere Brothers company. It was sold in a little leather change purse as its case...but unlike with many other tiny old spy cameras...it has a much larger negative size, that of a regular 35mm full frame camera,
The size is about 3" X 2" X 1.7." The body alone, without the lens, is a touch under an inch thick.
For a comparison, a 35mm Olympus XA2 is actually slightly thinner than an ELBY with lens, but the other dimensions are about 4" X 2.5."
Alas, it doesn't take standard 35mm film. The paper backed roll film was more like what a Kodak 828 camera used, not standard 35mm film, and apparently has been discontinued since the 1960s...
