Sesame pork cutlet

Ingredients (for two people):

- 300g of pork (a block of Boston butt)

- an egg

- white sesame

- wheat flour

- 1/8 of cabbage

- beefsteak plant leaf (Japanese basil)

- ponzu sauce (soy sauce and citrus vinegar)

- salt and pepper

- sesame oil

 

Directions:

1. Divide a block of pork into two pieces with a knife.

2. Make a cut in each pork piece to break meat threadlines.

3. Pound the pork meat to soften it.

4. Season the pork with salt and pepper.

5. Dredge the pork in wheat flour.

6. Dip the pork in eggwash and coat it with sesame.

7. Fry the coated pork in a pan with sesame oil at 180-degree temperature until its surface color changes to dark brown.

8. Cut the fried pork into bite-sized pieces.

9. Cut cabbage and Japanese basil into strips.

10. Arrange the pork and cabbage on a dish.

11. Put the Japanese basil on the pork and pour the ponzu sauce.
