Parc Monceau

The Rotunda at the main entrance to Parc Monceau designed by Claude Nicolas Ledoux (1736-1806). Originally built around 1785 as the Rotonde de Chartres for the purpose of collecting taxes from a resentful populace. The columns are much used by Parisian fitness fanatics for stretching exercises.
