finding hope and beauty

The Cape of Good Hope is a headland near Cape Town, which traditionally - and incorrectly - is regarded the turning point between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. (Technically, the division between the two oceans lies further south-east at Cape Agulhas which marks the geographic southern tip of the African continent.) However, when following the western side of the African coastline from the equator, the Cape of Good Hope marks the point where a ship begins to travel more eastward than southward. The Cape Peninsula is possibly one of the most spectacular combination of sea and mountain scenery in the world.
