Fender Telecaster

I built this over many months using a Warmoth body/neck and all Fender USA hardware. The paint is nitro lacquer from the Guitar Reranch.

How much did this set you back total?

Altogether about $700. That includes Warmoth body & neck, all Fender USA hardware & pickups. Not to mention the seemingly endless prep work (grain filling, sanding, sanding and more sanding). But in the end, it's on par with a $1500-2000 guitar, in my opinion.

It looks great. I was looking at buying a new strat recently. I played every one in the whole store. I was prepared to spend $1000.

I ended up buying a squier bullet strat for $99 out the door. Maybe of was just luck but it sounds and plays as good as all of the standards I played, in some cases it even sounds better.

I sanded the headstock and slapped on a Fender Telecaster decal for a joke. I'm gonna try to relic it, but those poly finishes are bullet proof.

Funny, I bought a Squire Affinity Strat last year & tried doing a "light relic" job on it. The thick poly finish resulted in a not-so-great job. But yeah, a decent player for the price!
