Moon and highway
The moon looked great as it swiftly rose (notice the rising moon blur in the picture). I tried to take just the moon, but I lack zoom so the picture was not a great sucess. The yellowish 3/5 moon was priceless and much better in real life.
Its bitterly cold here. We've been living in this artic burst for weeks and its supposed to continue, but there is always space for photos....like Norwegians say '"there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes".
I dressed up as best I could, but -23 to -25 Celsisus won me over after maybe 20 minutes. You always have a sore spot in extreme cold. Its the weakest link in your clothing defense....in this case my feet (it took 20 min of driving and a shower for them to completely warm up).
This is a highway south of Madison (it heads past Verona south west towards Dubuque, Iowa). Notice the hilly farm landscape. I should have come earlier to capture more cars...maybe tomorrow....brrrrr.
A zoomed version (and slight different angle) is here
