Kate's Bench and Mirror

She wanted a place in the entry for folks to sit and take off their boots and shoes. The compartments provide a place for footwear, backpacks, gloves, and hats to stow away.

The vast expanse of plaster needed a large piece not only as a focal point, but as a way of welcoming people into a home. The shelf was needed to provide a place for displaying small items, or just a place for keys to land at the end of the day.
