Wonderful shot, love the texture and color in the berries! I think the red netting pulles the eye away from the berries a bit too much, but the shot over all is just stunning!

Thanks all for your quick feedback
so glad you like this one! your comments are appreciated as always
A G Photography thanks - it has a certain alessandro rustic charm!
Thank you for the detailed comment
Thank you for commenting. I think I agree with you. I was back and forth between a version with and without net. At the time I thought a little something creating some additional movement in the corner would be good but now that I've stepped a way for a while I am finding myself drawn back to simplicity. I've uploaded the "netless" version - see what you think. Appreciate your insight.

I too am enjoying the rustic table surface. The composition works really well in terms of how the elements have been placed. Again its the textures which are drawing me in i.e. the berries, the paper and the table. I admit to seeing the "net" version earlier but hesitated and now can't decide whether I liked it with or without!...LOL. (Look forward to seeing some lovely dishes in the future on that new table surface!)

But of course, I also love fresh blackberries and as I write, I can feel the crunching small explosions in my mouth of biting those tasty wonder-balls..... And how artistically you placed everything! Thank you for sharing your mûres (Brombeeren) with us... :)))))

Sorry, Sabra, thought I have commented already to find out I didn't. The compositional idea is awesome: a full box of berries and as a counterpart and negative to it and empty piece of paper with just a few berries left and the stain. Excellent, simple, effective, stunning.
