Musée du Louvre

    Newer Older

The Louvre may be the most actively avoided museum in the world. Daunted by the richness and sheer size of the place (the side facing the Seine is some 700 m long) both visitors and locals often find the prospect of an afternoon at a smaller museum far more inviting. Eventually, most people do their duty and come, but many leave overwhelmed, unfulfilled, exhausted and frustrated at having got lost on their way to Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. (Lonely Planet)

Stendhal's syndrome is a psychosomatic illness that causes rapid heartbeat, dizziness, confusion and even hallucinations when an individual is exposed to art, usually when the art is particularly 'beautiful' or a large amount of art is in a single place (wikipedia).

This little guy IS a piece of art. He belongs in that museum. Really good photo.

Fantastische foto :-) En het is waar... het Louvre heeft een grote aantrekkingskracht maar zodra je er 4 stappen binnen hebt gezet ben je al uitgeput en verdwaald. Er hangt/staat/ligt gewoon veel te veel moois. Zo jammer.

I guess this is a soft, funny shot and a place to see for sure :-) But this is tacking composition (to my opinion) for the Jurors main pool.

A NO from me at this time, but more jurors to come. Good luck!

Maybe this is not a great picture, but is funny and has a keen sense of humour.
      Yes from me.

If this shot was not a set-up, kudos! If not, well it's still humorous. Sure, a YES for the pool =)

Even if this was a set up it is perfectly photographed and staged. Your third Yes vote for the main pool and thank your for sharing.

Love your shot. I might have been tempted to pay him to get his hands in parallel with the sculpture, but you have more integrity than me.

Vraiment très très bon! Il en a même enlevé ses chaussures, le pauvre. Trop d'art tue.
Great shot! He's even taken off his shoes, poor lad. Art kills.

Aha. I see I was not the first fat guy with a moustache to be overcome with sleepiness at the Louvre.
