Knight Rider Festival 2010
“Knight Rider, a shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist. Michael Knight, a young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law.”

Do you remember the black 1982 Trans Am, made famous in the 1980’s, named K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two Thousand)? Well, if not I am prepared to take you on a trip down memory lane.

On March 19, 2010 I attended the second annual Knight Rider Festival on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas. For the first time David Hasselhoff aka Michael Knight was in attendance for the event.

Also in attendance with his showgirls was Mayor Oscar Goodman, along with VIP Guests, cast members, K.I.T.T. car owners and their cars. One of the license plates was SPM KITT… SPM means Super Pursuit Mode. Some of the cast members in attendance were Glen Larson - Creator & Executive Producer, Catherine Hickland - Actress, George Barris - King of Kustoms, Jack Gill - Stunt Coordinator, and Don Peake - Series Composer.

There was also a Ford Shelby GT500KR Mustang that was featured in the remake of Knight Rider, and K.A.R.R (Knight Automated Roving Robot), which was the first prototype that K.I.T.T. was designed from.

The Lone Ranger on a palomino horse opened the festival… which was a little confusing. The Lone Ranger rode a white horse named Silver… not a palomino, and what do horses and Knight Rider have in common? I am not sure either, but have included a few photos for you. As for Tonto well apparently he just couldn’t make it.

Mayor Oscar Goodman proclaimed March 19, as David Hasselhoff day, and he also remarked he is the happiest Mayor in the universe.

I am proud to bring my trip down memory lane with Knight Rider stars David Hasselhoff and K.I.T.T. I would like to thank to Paul Casey Productions, for bringing this event to Las Vegas for the second year in a row.
