Sydney - Bats at dusk

Every dusk the flock of fruit bats/Flying foxes camping in the Royal Botanic Gardens next to the Opera House fly out to feed on fruit/nectar/pollen. There has been a flock of approx 3000 living there since 1989. They are listed as a vulnerable species

and have experience a 30% decline in the past decade due to habitat clearing.

Handheld shot from a friends balcony in Kings Cross.

Thanks for all the comments - was an amazing scene.
