Blue Marble - Warribanno

Warribanno Chimney is the remains of a lead smelter about 60kms east of Kalbarri.

It was built in 1858 for the Geraldine Mining Company. The smelter complex is oldest identified European mining site in Western Australia.

The strong blue colour in the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering of the 40% full moon.
