Two healthy Koa trees along Mana Road, Big Island, Hawaii.
All the Koa trees I've seen are shaped more or less like these two, with twisting, gnarly trunks and branches. It makes me wonder how the Hawaiians made long canoes and surfboards out of this stuff.
Last night's sunset here was one of the most spectacular I've ever seen, with incredibly intense color covering so much of the sky. I won't be uploading any photos of it, though, since I was driving WITHOUT MY CAMERA at the time!
