New York Central Steam Engines - Mt. Carmel Yards Servicing Area - Mt. Carmel, Illinois - June 1939

New York Central steam engine No. 2106, along with another steam engine, are on one of the lead tracks to the servicing area of the North Yard at Mt. Carmel, Illinois, on the Cario Division's Egyptian Line in June of 1939.

In the view, there are two men at what looks to be an ash pit. There is a makeshift cross tie bumper stop on the frog of one of the switches. In the foreground is the coaling tower for the yard. Visible to the left of the engine 2106 is a portion of the roundhouse.
