The Tomales Not A Bank -- DSC3273

On the main street of the little village of Tomales in Marin County, California. Said to have been built in about 1920 to replace the previous structure lost to a fire, it was the Novato National Bank. It is now a private residence and the original brass letters reading "NOVATO NATIONAL BANK" were redone to read "NOT A BANK" by the new private owner to stop people from trying to enter the structure thinking it was still a bank.
