I took this in the evening and used the flash on purpose to see what would happen. I am amazed at how intricate their feathers are. Most of these little birds are indistinguishable, but this one is a regular in my photo shoots. If you look closely at the top of her head, you'll see some feathers missing. She will take multi-grain bread and sunflower seeds right out of my hand (occasionally mistaking my finger for a big seed!). There are a couple of others that I recognize. One has some featherage missing above her left eye. She walks right up to me and just waits. Today she was feeding her fledglings everything I gave her. She would take the food, give a couple of chirps ("Here I come!"), and then fly to them. The other has a blue string tied around her foot. She will also eat from my hand.
