Traveling in Egypt, I approached a small village several hours outside Cairo. Local women were washing laundry in small river that flowed into the Nile and these three pals approached me. They pointed to my camera and then at themselves indicating that they wanted me to take their photo.


Afterward we shook hands and laughed ...I at the fact this all took place without a word being spoken...they at the excitement of receiving attention from a foreigner with a camera....and so out of this bit of goodwill on their part and mine a simple friendship was formed...only 6.3 billion more people to go and perhaps we can have a lasting peace...
