Drake Theatre on Cinema Treasures: cinematreasures.org/theater/4614/

The Drake Theatre was designed in the Art Deco style by Architect Charles A. Sandblom, and opened in 1935 to serve the growing population of Rego Park and the Rego Park Crescents. It was designed as a central unit of a business development on Woodhaven Blvd, and remained in operation through the early 90s. It is now fully occupied by long-term tenant Joseph Abbracciamento Restaurant.
