BLIND FIDDLER BY BOB QUINN [CITYWEST] REF-1085540
Originally I was lead to believe that this sculpture was by a Welsh artist and at the time I could not find any information relating to this item of public art. A few days ago I happened to visit Bob Quinn’s website and by accident discovered that the Blind Fiddler is his work.
The sculpture of the “Blind Fiddler” is impressionistic.He plays a happy tune, his broken layers of clothes represents leaves, his arched back, the wind shaped tree and his slight frame allows him the lightness to “dance a jig on a cobweb”. The natural patination of the bronze is not fixed with wax and so its colours will evolve organically with time and with
