During the 1980s, Blackpool acquired quite a few of these ex London Transport Routemaster buses for service in the seaside town. To be honest, I always thought this was a little odd, especially as Blackpool had just about wiped out its open-platform Leyland PD3 fleet by this time, ...all of which were newer?
