This item is a replica of a "brazier" found in Pompeii at a corner "fast food" stall. We use this version in our encampments to cook on because most parks do not allow ground fires. The four bars spanning the brazier's pan can be slid back and forth along the side rails. They can be slid forward, down, and out of the way. Coals can be banked in the partly enclosed box end to bring heat to pots of stews or soups... and its great for roasting meats!
