Andersonville Statue

This is a portion of the Illinois memorial to the Union Soldiers that died at Andersonville, GA Prison camp in the Civil War. The statue children are looking out over the 12,913 graves that are in this cemetery. All of these soldiers died between Mar 1864 and May 1865, mainly from contaminated water and lack of food.
