The Spider Web - Storthes Hall

Sometimes just walking without a plan of where to go is the most peaceful way to go about it.

Yorkshire has many beautiful exposed walks, but I far more enjoy the thicker, under canopy walks in woodland that seems to go on forever.

Here the trees seem to be row planted in areas (I assume these are for farming) but then there are mostly pockets of dense woodland area with the sun poking through between the winter-stricken branches. The Japanese have a word for sunlight through leaves, komorebi. I find it strange that we do not have a single word to describe the effect as it is so common to us all.

I have been trying to take a couple of tips on board from a photographer dubbed Trashhand who produces some amazing work in the urban setting. His tips help in all situations though and just seem to give more freedom when it comes to shots.
