On the 5th day of the 2013 BC Bike Race the racers covered territory between Sechelt and Langdale Ferry Terminal on the lower Sunshine Coast. Three kilometers from the top of the climb, Randeesh played trumpet for 5 hours as the amazingly fit and talented riders flew by.

The first riders got to Randeesh's forest location on Mount Elphinstone in Roberts Creek about an hour after he started playing. For the next four hours, the world's hardest working mountain bikers continued up the mountain.

There were many memorable moments. The riders seemed to like hearing the trumpet's sound drift through the forest for miles. The acoustics were great! Some riders thought they were hallucinating or dreaming. When the riders arrived at Randeesh's spot, without stopping or skipping a beat, they asked for many very funny requests.

The Mexican riders wanted to hear "La Cucaracha"; the Australians, "Waltzing Matilda"; and the British "God Save the Queen". Some of the other requests:"When the Saints Go Marching In";"The Pina Colada Song", "Taps"; any jazz, "We Are the Champions ;"Roots Rock Reggae"; and "Happy Birthday" for one of the riders who had a birthday that day.

It was absolutely inspiring watching the BC Bike Race and the international teams.

Congratulations to Kris Sneddon from Halfmoon Bay on the Sunshine Coast's who won the 7 day race.
